2. Privacy policy

We take the protection of your personal data seriously, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, EU 2016/679) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).

Data controller

The data controller is Jordan Chap, 21 Rue de Contamines, 1206 Genève, Suisse, contact@jordan-chap.com.

Data collected and purposes

We only collect the data necessary to operate the service:

Thumbnail and post history: 90 days

Processors and third-party services

To operate the service, we rely on the following processors:

Transfers outside the European Union

Some processors are located outside the European Union (notably Stripe in the United States, as well as Google, Meta and TikTok when you publish to their platforms). These transfers are governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission, or by equivalent mechanisms (Data Privacy Framework). Transfers to Switzerland benefit from an adequacy decision.

Publishing to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok

From the StreamClipper iOS app, you can connect your own YouTube, Instagram, Facebook (Page) and TikTok accounts so that we publish the clips you choose to them. The platforms then process the published content as independent controllers, under their own terms and privacy policies.

Nothing is ever published without your request: a post goes out immediately when you send it, or at the date and time you schedule (Pro plan), and you can edit or delete a scheduled post until it goes out. For TikTok, you choose the settings of each post yourself: who can view it, whether comments, duets and stitches are allowed, and the disclosure of commercial content.

StreamClipper uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your YouTube channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. How Google handles your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

We only use the data received from Google to upload the videos you choose to your YouTube channel and to show your channel's name and picture in the app, which is why we only request the youtube.upload and youtube.readonly permissions. This data is never sold, never shared with anyone else and never used for advertising.

StreamClipper's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can withdraw StreamClipper's access to your accounts at any time:

  • in the app, under Account → Connected accounts, by disconnecting the account: we immediately delete its tokens and information, and revoke our access at Google and TikTok;
  • for YouTube, on the security page of your Google Account: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions;
  • for TikTok, in the TikTok app settings, under Security → Manage app permissions;
  • for Instagram and Facebook, by removing StreamClipper from the business integrations in your account settings: Meta then notifies us and we automatically delete the connected account.

Deleting your data. Disconnecting an account deletes its identifiers, username, profile picture and tokens from our servers at once, and deleting a post deletes its video at once. Deleting your StreamClipper account (Account → Delete Account in the app, or My account on the website) deletes all your connected accounts and every clip sent for publishing, and revokes our access at Google and TikTok. If you remove StreamClipper from your Instagram or Facebook settings, or ask Meta to delete your data, the matching connected account is deleted automatically and Meta gives you a confirmation code. You can also ask us to delete your data by writing to contact@jordan-chap.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and revFADP, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@jordan-chap.com. We will respond within one month at the most. You can also delete your account directly from My account, which erases all your data.

Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with regulations, you may lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority:

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: TLS encryption for communications, password hashing (bcrypt), access control, regular backups and access monitoring.

Minors

The service is not intended for people under 16. If you are a minor, you must obtain consent from your legal representative before creating an account.

3. Terms of service

Object

These Terms of Service (ToS) govern access to and use of the StreamClipper service, a platform for automated clip extraction from stream recordings. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these ToS unreservedly.

Account creation

To use the service, you must create an account by providing accurate and up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity performed from your account. Only one account per person is allowed.

User obligations

By using the service, you agree to:

Any breach may result in immediate suspension or deletion of the account, without refund, and engage your liability.

Pricing and subscriptions

The service offers a free plan with a limited monthly quota and a paid Pro subscription with unlimited analysis. A Business offer is available on a custom-quote basis on request. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions are monthly, automatically renewed, and can be cancelled at any time from the Stripe portal accessible from My account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; hours already used are not refunded.

The "unlimited" analysis of the Pro subscription is subject to a fair use policy intended for normal personal or professional use. Manifestly excessive, automated or abusive usage, or use that diverts the service from its purpose (for example a processing volume far exceeding that of an individual creator), may result in limitation, suspension or termination of the subscription, where applicable after notifying the user. High-volume needs are covered by the Business offer.

Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and equivalent provisions in Switzerland, you acknowledge and accept that the service begins to be provided as soon as the subscription is activated, which entails the express waiver of your 14-day right of withdrawal for hours already used.

Service availability

We make our best efforts to keep the service available 24/7. We cannot however guarantee continuous availability, in particular in case of maintenance, technical failure, or force majeure event. No compensation may be claimed for temporary unavailability.

Intellectual property

The service, its code, design, trademarks and logos remain the exclusive property of the publisher. No reproduction or reuse is allowed without prior written agreement.

You retain full ownership of the videos and clips you process with the service. By using the service, you grant us only the licences necessary for technical processing (download, transcription, temporary storage, clip generation), for the period strictly necessary to provide the service.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". Within the limits permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for indirect damages (loss of audience, loss of revenue, data loss), for the user's use of the service, nor for content generated from videos submitted by the user. Our total cumulative liability is in any event limited to amounts actually paid over the last 12 months.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from My account, which entails the permanent erasure of all your data (except for legal retention obligations). We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of breach of the ToS.

Changes to the ToS

We reserve the right to change these ToS at any time. Changes will be notified to you by email or via an in-app notification. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new ToS.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These ToS are governed by the law applicable at the publisher's registered office. Any dispute falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Genève, Suisse. This does not deprive the consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.

4. Cookie policy

We use a minimal number of cookies, strictly necessary to operate the service.

Essential cookies

These cookies are essential to allow you to navigate the site and use its features (authentication, session). They do not require consent.

Optional cookies

No analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used without your explicit consent.

How to control them

You can configure your browser to refuse cookies at any time. Refusing essential cookies will however prevent you from signing in to the service.
